Warning notices:
-
Keep away from other metals! Stainless steel should never be brought into direct contact with other metals, or in their immediate vicinity, because contact corrosion or cross-contamination can occur. Contact corrosion and cross-contamination can weaken the metals concerned and impair the stainless steel's non-corrosive properties. In the long term, complete material failure cannot be ruled out.
-
Risk of rust! This stainless steel has only a low resistance to chemicals and acids in particular. For this reason, we advise against using it in aggressive environments, as this could damage the corrosion protection and lead to material failure. For example, use near pools, in cities with high levels of air pollution and in places in the immediate vicinity of the sea is not recommended!
-
Follow the care instructions! Please follow the care instructions for the product. If not handled correctly, the stainless steel may lose its rustproof properties.
Assembly instructions:
Please note that you will need a suitable stainless steel adhesive for installation. The adhesive is not included in the scope of delivery. For the following installation instructions, we assume that you want to attach a handrail to a baluster. However, the procedure described can also be applied to other areas of application.
- First make sure that the inside of the post tube is thoroughly deburred, otherwise the connector may not be able to be inserted into the tube.
- Now screw the connector to the handrail tube.
- Then apply a sufficient amount of stainless steel adhesive to the inside of the post tube.
- Push the screwed tube connector into the post as far as it will go.
- Check the alignment of the handrail to the post and make any necessary corrections.
- Wait until the glue has completely hardened.
Care instructions:
Stainless steel must be cleaned and maintained at regular intervals. If this maintenance is not carried out, the material may lose its rust-proof properties. You can use commercially available, non-acidic cleaning agents for cleaning. Please also note that the occurrence of occasional flash rust cannot be ruled out. Flash rust should be removed as quickly as possible to avoid any damage to the material.
